As a leading organization in Massachusetts dedicated to transforming the lives of low-income women, the Crittenton Women’s Union wishes to guide social change so that all women of the Commonwealth can discover opportunity and prosperity. We understand that in order to meet this goal, we must foster a conversation on this issue that is compelling, innovative, and provocative.

The purpose of the Crittenton Women’s Union Weblog is to allow direct communication between low-income women, policy makers, educators, researchers, and supporters on the issue of economic self-sufficiency. We know that the diversity of voices surrounding this issue is a valuable resource that must be tapped if we are to find powerful and effective public policy solutions enabling women to live, work, and thrive.

As a member of The Voices Project, you agree to the following:

• You must be a subscribed member to post blogs or forum topics.
• This site is free to use...just Sign Up!
• You agree by using this service, that you will not use this board to post any material which you know to be inaccurate, obscene, profane, rude, racist, pornographic, or sexually explicit.
• You agree not to post any un-credited, copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this board.
• Soliciting of any kind on this forum is strictly prohibited.
• Topics not posted in the appropriate forums are subject to be moved or deleted entirely.
• User names that are deemed tasteless or offensive will be changed by the Administration without notification.
• Avatars and/or photos in signatures must be tasteful or they will be deleted without notification. This rule also applies to signatures that exceed a reasonable limit making browsing and reading posts very difficult for other members.
• Sexually suggestive or explicit photos, or links leading to pornographic material are NOT allowed.
• Profile information or Signatures deemed inappropriate by the administration are subject to editing or deletion.
• You cannot put URLs in your signature that display the IP addresses of other users.
• Multiple links that are clearly solicitations will be removed.
• Profanity is not allowed. Any such posts will be edited or deleted entirely.
• Name calling, personal attacks, insulting or degrading comments of any kind, or disrespecting the opinions of others is not allowed. It is expected that members will not always agree on everything, but we expect our members to disagree respectfully with each other.
• If it is determined by the moderators or admins that you are a person that is constantly in disputes or starting disputes with other members , which often times result in threads being closed or blog posts deleted, you run the risk of your account being terminated.
• Respect for every member's posts is not asked, but is a requirement to remain a member of this forum.
• "Calling" people out on the forum is not allowed. Do not use the open forum to discuss personal disputes with other members.
• We respectfully request that members avoid typing in all capital letters. It is very hard to read, and is actually considered to be yelling in "netiquette."
