My baby girl Emma recently recited this poem for me. Although it is not her own, she recited it with so much passion. I was so moved by her emotion that to me she owns it. ENJOY!

THE NIGHT IS BEAUTIFUL.....

AND SO ARE THE FACES OF MY PEOPLE......

THE STARS ARE BEATIFUL AND SO ARE THE EYES OF MY PEOPLE.....

BEAUTIFUL ALSO IS THE SUN......

BEAUTIFUL ALSO ARE THE SOULS OF MY PEOPLE.....

very nice.. but it sounds similar to a poem i have read entitled, 'Why did you make me black'

but it is still a cute little piece.. :)
